Antanovka is a late-fall or early-winter ripening variety, known for its superior/Tough preservation qualities in very cold climates and drought prone areas.  I'm tempted to say Yes; even a caveman can grow this apple tree. Also known as the "Peoples Apple" in Russia and a favorite in Finland for apple pies, curiously used mostly as rootstock in America, fruit can grow to as large as 1 1/2 pounds.  Very heavy fruit production, excellent late ripening apple for food plot boarders or a great addition to the farm orchard for eating and cooking.
